| Welcome to the Tower! | ||
|
You wander up the hillside to the tower that sits nestled among a copse of trees, half-hidden by the verdant greenery that surrounds it. By the looks of the structure, you would wager that it is most likely of dwarven design - strong, sturdy and with a feeling of timelessness. At first, you think that the structure may be abandoned as you take note of the vines that have crept up the granite walls. However, that notion is quickly banished as you are startled by shutters on the topmost floor flying open, banging noisily against the stone. Your eyes fly upward just in time to spot a bucket being held out the window and tipped. With a surprise cry, you hop-scuttle backwards just in time to miss being drenched by a stream of dirty water. "Oh, hello!" a voice calls from above. "Sorry, about that. Didn't see you down there." Looking upward, you spy the smiling face of a slender, female elf, her golden hair pulled back in a violently multi-colored scarf. Dust and grime are smudged across her cheeks and nose, but that does little to hide the cheerfulness of her voice. "If you are here to look at my artifacts, you're welcome to come in. You'll have to excuse the mess, though," she leans across the windowsill as she speaks. "I'm doing a little cleaning, rearranging the place...you know. Just the usual...late summer...cleaning frenzy that people normally have. Yup. So, if you'd like, come on in. Just watch yourself...uhhh....if something moves, call me. No, no! It's nothing dangerous. Really. It's all good. Trust me." Recent News August 28, 2004: If you look to the left in the navbar, you'll see the addition of a section called "In the Works". I've listed what I'm working on converting and, as I finish a section, I'll cross it out so you can see the progress I'm making. (I don't want you guys to think that I've just up and abandoned the ol' Tower, again.) I've also added a section for new things that I'll be adding once I'm done with the conversions. July 31, 2004: Well, I'm getting started on the changes here at the Tower, but you may not see them for a little while. I have so many pages to deal with that to try and change them on the server as I go would be to have tons and tons of broken links. So, I'm making the changes on my hard drive and will upload the new and improved site once I'm done. July 23, 2004: That's right! I'm back and I'm ready to start working on the site once again. For right now, I'm going to be doing updates to the layout, changing a few things with the code and whatnot. I want to get that done before I start adding new content. However, if anyone has anything they would like to contribute, now is a great time to send it to me! I've set up a new email address just for contributions at . December 2, 2003: Yes, indeed. I am closing the Tower doors. As I said in the narrative above, I don't know when or if I will get back to updating this website. I think I just need to take a break from roleplaying for awhile....let my creative juices build back up. I simply lost my enthusiasm for the hobby and it's hard to keep a site going that you no longer love as much as you once did. (Eight years is a long time to keep a site going!) Perhaps, after awhile, I will come back. But, for now...adieu. P.S. If you need to reach me, the best thing to do is leave a message in the guestbook. The email address I use for this site has turned pretty much into spam-catcher, so I've set the options so that I only recieve mail from people already in my contacts book. Everything else is Deletesville. |
