He stands at about 5'6" and has coppery, almost shimmering skin that looks as if he has been rubbing himself with mica or crushed fish scales. Long, deep brown hair is generally worn loose and wild about his slender, high-cheeked face to spill carelessly past delicately pointed ears. Eyes the color of either fresh leaves in spring or water of deepest blue look out on the world with a watchful gaze. Generally, he is clothed in light, flimy material that shifts and blends with the world around him, hiding him from the eyes of even the most alert elf. What are these fey, you may ask? They are the defending spirits of the forest, the watchful eyes of Silvanus. They prey upon those who would destroy the natural beauty of the wildlands, killing off those who rape the land with a cold, gleeful determination. Should a group of loggers begin to strip an area bare, it will be the boroweic who begins to strip them bare, killing them off one by one until they leave. Should a poacher come through and begin hunting the wildlife for nothing more than trophies, then it will be the hunter who suddenly finds himself the object of a sporting hunt. Those who defile the land, sapping it of strength, destroying and pillaging...these are the boroweic's enemies. However, by that same token, they are fierce defenders of those who would also defend the wood and those who live in peace and balance with Nature. Rangers and druids caught in dire straits sometimes find themselves aided by the boroweic, who will bring spell and arrow to their rescue. Those people who live in harmony with Nature, tending to the land that provides them with food and shelter, can also expect aid. If a winter is harsh and food scarce, the boroweic will sometimes visit forest dwelling families and leave freshly caught rabbit and deer at their door. Combat Boroweic possess low-light vision, allowing them to see twice as far in as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight and similiar conditions of poor illunimation. They retain the ability to see color and detail in these conditions. Spells (Sp): The boroweic casts druid spells as a 10th level druid. Spell DC 20. He also has the feats Silent Spell and Still Spell, which allow him to cast without speaking or performing somantic components. Summon Creature (Sp): The boroweic is able to either summon 1d4 dire wolves or a single, dire stag to aid him in combat. This requires a full action and he is able to do this 1/day. See the Monster Manual for details on the dire wolf. The dire stag is a staggeringly large elk sporting a wicked rack. Dire Stag Camoflage (Ex): The boroweic is able to blend in with his surroundings 3/day as long as he is in a natural environment. Using this ability will grant him an extra +20 to his Hide skill. |
