Have you ever been lost? Annoying, wasn’t it? Well, this little incantation can easily make sure you don’t loose your bearings. When cast upon a person, this spell causes the affected person to leave glowing tracks wherever he walks. Now, mind you, only the caster can see these tracks, so it has two main uses:

  1. To keep the caster from getting lost in caverns, labyrinths, forests, etc.
  2. To secretly keep track of someone else.

Mage/thieves love this spell since it means they do not have to stay within sight of a mark when in a bustling city. Simply cast the spell and then stroll along at a leisurely pace. Of course, the spell does only last 24 hours, so you can only take so long to do your deed. I knew one mage who kept track of an overly rambunctious nephew by casting the spell on him each morning before he woke. You wouldn’t believe some of the places she found him at the end of the day! *grin*

If cast upon an unwilling / unknowing victim, the target gets a Will save to resist. Also, anyone who casts Detect Magic will also be able to see the tracks.
