As the name states, this spell throws off an opponent's sense of balance, making him an easier target to attack and making it more difficult for him to do anything that is dexterity based. To best explain exactly what happens to the victim, I need to explain a bit of biology. Within the inner ear are three, fluid filled loops. Inside the loops are tiny hairs that are stimulated by the fluid that moves about in the tubes as you tilt your head, letting you know what direction is "up" and "down" regardless of how your body is positioned. However, if the mechanism within the inner ear is damaged, it can play havoc with your sense of balance because your eyes are telling you one thing, but your inner ear is telling you something entirely different. This spell mimics having that mechanism temporarily rendered null, causing the victim to suffer dizziness and vertigo.

When cast, the victim suddenly finds himself bereft of his sense of balance. He loses all Dexterity bonuses for the duration of the spell. This includes bonuses to AC, ranged attacks, and skills. If the victim already had a 0 or negative Dexterity bonus, apply a -3 penalty to those same stats.
